Thank you Krystall in Washington, UT and Pixlr.com

Before I tell you about the best online image editor I've ever seen, I wanted to thank Krystall for contacting our team and allowing us to create video tutorials that she could use to share LDSJournal.com with members in her Ward. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve members and we hope that we can make journal keeping a fun, family activity.

If any of you have a need or would like to share LDSJournal with your friends, please let us know. We will be posting some introductory tutorials online at our YouTube channel, so feel free to use them on your blog or email us ideas for other video tutorial that can help you.

Image Editing Online for FREE
Now, I want to share a site with you that I recently discovered, but has been getting rave reviews from users all around the world. Pixlr.com is an online image editing solution that allows users to do hundreds of activities including cropping, resizing, and cleaning up personal photos. The reason I bring this site to your attention is many of you have asked us for an image editing solution that you could use before uploading Footnote photos to LDSJournal. For those of you creating printed and bound journal books, Pixlr will help you sharpen and straighten photos to create a better book for your posterity. While it has so many tools to help you accomplish your tasks, the best feature is the price tag -- free.

There are two options that you should take a look at. The full Editor is something akin to Adobe Photoshop in a browser and the Express version is more like Photoshop Elements. I'm sorry for not getting into a full-blown breakdown of their services, but I do recommend checking out their site. We will be creating a tutorial for LDSJournal to show members just how useful this site can be.

As always, if you have any questions or comments, please send us an email and we'll get right back to you.
