I have to admit, I never thought I would attend a scrapbook convention. I don't know if it is because I have never known anyone that was really into scrapbooking, or the fact that I couldn't imagine one guy attending a convention about scrapbooking. Don't get me wrong, it's was pretty cool, but I've never heard of any guy attending. So naturally, I was at the Scrapbook USA Expo in full force on September 19 & 20th. I have to admit that I was VERY impressed with the creativity and dedication many of the women at this conference had. And after seeing some of their work, I had two thoughts cross my mind:
- Wow! That looks like a lot of work.
- These women are so creative and should build web pages.
I can imagine there must be something very therapeutic about working on your scrapbook and I felt like I was smack-dab in the middle of Ladies' Night. But, needless to say, I had a great time and it was a lot of fun meeting so many talented women and dedicated Moms. Luckily for me, many of the attendees stopped by our booth to learn more about LDSJournal.com and came away impressed. We also had a few people that looked horrified about keeping a journal and ran in the other direction. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Oh well, sooner or later they'll check our LDSJournal.com and see what they've been missing. ;)
