The game between BYU and UCLA was supposed to be a hard-fought contest with hopes of BYU coming out on top. Heck, even if you aren't a BYU fan because you root for Utah, you had to like the MWC rolling up on the Pac-10 this weekend. (Full disclosure: I am a huge USC fan). But, instead, the game was a rout and BYU gave UCLA its worst beating in 75 years.
As you may already know, LDSJournal.com had a booth set up at the pre-game tailgate and was handing out seat cushions. As it turns out, getting your hands on a seat cushion proved to be much more difficult than BYU getting its hand on UCLA's quarterback. We handed 1,000 seat cushions and probably could have passed out another 2,000. We had no idea how much of a success the cushions would be, so we were pleasantly surprised. It was great to meet so many people that were new to LDSJournal.com and we loved getting direct feedback from so many members that decided to stop on by and say hello.
Here are a few photos from the tailgate.
Users came from all over to get their hands on a seat cushion.
Parents loved the free gift for the kids.
Jan, an LDSJournal team member, worked the booth like a champ.
As you can see, even UCLA fans wanted a piece of LDSJournal!
